Yoga, Pranayama, Meditation & Walking Retreat in Vis, Croatia

Join me on this Yoga, Pranayama & Meditation Retreat in the middle of the Adriatic Sea.  Expect to be energized, strengthened and relaxed by yoga, silenced and calmed by pranayama and meditation, nourished by healthy food and rejuvenated by the sparkling clear sea.  Yoga classes are geared to Iyengar Levels II and up, but all levels are welcome. I work with your individual needs and show you how to modify the poses to maximize the benefits of your practice regardless of physical abilities or the level of your experience.

This retreat is designed to rejuvenate you and allow you to go inside and peel away the layers of accumulated stress.  It is your choice to participate in as much or as little of the scheduled activities in the program.


What does each day look like?

We start the morning with meditation, followed by an energizing yoga class and a hearty breakfast. 

Each afternoon you will have ample time for relaxation or adventure*.

In the late afternoon, there will be a rejuvenating restorative yoga class with a deep pranayama practice followed by a Yoga Sutra Study discussion.

By now we're ready to relish our Mediterranean-inspired, local, and wholesome dinner prepared by our Croatian chef.

The evenings will end with a peaceful meditation before retreating into silence for the night.


Our retreat center consists of 2 houses with 7 sunny apartments. There are 5 two-bedroom apartments and 2 one-bedroom studio apartments.  All apartments include a living area, fully-equipped kitchen, a bathroom, a private veranda and a separate entrance. Bedding and towels in all apartments are made from high quality cotton. WiFi is included.

The property has a terraced Mediterranean garden lush with flowers and organic fruits, vegetables and herbs with many nooks and crannies to relax, read or hangout.  Most of our meals will be served outside in a covered dining area in the garden.  There is also a separate yoga studio in the garden.


Each day includes a hearty and bountiful breakfast and a wholesome delicious dinner.  Our chef, Sanjica, cooks vegetarian and vegan Mediterranean food with local fish as well, and she can accommodate special diets and food allergies.  All ingredients are fresh and local, and meals are prepared with love and positive energy.  

Each apartment has a functional kitchen, and there are opportunities to taste the renowned local cuisine on your afternoon outings.

About Eileen Muir

When Eileen teaches she is a spark that lights up the room and ignites her students.  It's clear she loves teaching yoga, and she brings that vitality, precision and clarity to each student.  Her many years of living yoga as a path inspires her to share the fruits of her practice and to help others make effective and palpable changes in their lives to reduce pain and suffering. A native of Scotland, Eileen brings a lively Celtic spirit, humour and joy to her teaching.

She began her yoga training at an early age in Edinburgh, and her studies led her to India, China and Japan. She has been devoted to meditation and studying the Iyengar method since 1983. In addition to being a Yoga Alliance 500-hr. certified teacher trainer, Eileen is also an IAYT certified yoga therapist and an AOBTA certified instructor, practitioner and leader of Shiatsu trainings.

As the founder and former director of Karuna Yoga (Northampton, MA), she has been leading teacher trainings for more than 20 years and has certified hundred of teachers. In 2018 she moved to Asturias, Spain to establish Karuna Center for Yoga & Healing Arts, Spain where she teaches weekly classes, online yoga videos, conducts workshops, retreats, and teacher trainings both nationally and internationally.
