What documents do I need to travel?
You will need a current passport to travel to Europe from North America. If you do not have one, please apply now to avoid any delays or restrictions on your travel. Greece is a safe, friendly country to travel to and rich in history and culture. The Greek Islands are world renowned for their pristine beauty, rich history, beautiful locally grown foods, and their filotimo (hospitality). Most Greek people speak English. The currency is the Euro. Wi-fi is available at the retreat center and most restaurants for free. And on that note…Wi-fi is slower in Greece than what we are accustomed to in the USA. Plan accordingly. It is strongly suggested that you purchase travel insurance. This will cover you in case of unexpected illness, emergencies or in the event you need to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances.
What do I need to bring?
The studio has mats, blocks straps, blankets, and bolsters. No need to bring your own unless you prefer to. Yoga clothes to practice in. It is hot, and the sun is bright in Greece and the days are long so shorts, summer dresses, sandals, bathing suits, pareos, sun block and sunglasses and a big beach bag. Bring a parasol, or you can buy one in Greece if you are sensitive to the sun. Sometimes the winds kick up and you may require a shawl or light jacket. You can buy everything listed above on the island or Athens.
FYI~ Shoulders and knees must be covered to enter most of the churches in Greece.
Will I need a rental car?
No. We will be renting vans/cars to shuttle everyone around on our excursions. There are scooters and quads available to rent by the day if you want to do some exploring or follow us around on your own.
Come immerse yourself in the raw beauty of the Cyclades on some of the most beautiful island locations in the world.

About Connie Cappos
Yoga Alliance Registered
Yoga Instructor RYT 200
I am the founder and director of Kupukupu Yoga, which I opened in Pahoa, Hawaii in 2012. I have been studying, practicing and teaching yoga for over 20 years. Like so many, I found yoga after an extreme injury and looking for change after being obese for most of my life. My yoga path began at Yoga Oasis retreat center in Puna where I trained under Hayward Coleman daily, and many other master teachers who would visit and spend time there. I studied and was introduced to many different styles and aspects of yoga. I eventually became a staff member, and then a teacher, receiving my 200-hour yoga teachers certificate in 2009. I taught and lead wellness retreats for Yoga Oasis before opening Kupukupu Yoga in Pahoa in 2012. I am committed and dedicated to my own yoga practice, it is as important to me as sharing my knowledge of yoga with others. I teach my regular classes throughout the week, mostly active flow and a gentle class for beginners and seniors. I am a mentor/teacher/facilitator for the yoga program at Hawaiian Sanctuary retreat center . I work closely with the students individually, guiding them to go deeper into their own practice and understanding of the yogic teachings. I lead yoga and wellness retreats in Hawaii and Greece. My future plans are to expand and bring these retreats to different locals globally.
I am also world traveler, a celebrity wardrobe stylist, manage my own tropical vacation rental and grow a lot of my own food organically. I am passionate about health, wellness and expansion.
In my classes I use my years of experience on the mat to combine an active practice of Hatha yoga, Pranayama, Kriyas , Qi Gong, and yoga therapy in a safe and fun environment.
